MADE IN UK
The boxing ring is often a centre piece of any ringsport gym. The flood of cheaply made Chinese imports might look attractive price wise but the pain of replacing a poorly made ring after only limited use is something we have seen many times. Buy Quality, Buy Once, Buy with confidence.
The goal for us is to ensure our customers get the boxing ring they for a price that works.
After all, we know that once you have built a gym with REVGEAR our customers will stay with REVGEAR.
But don’t take our word for it, ask Northern Kings Muay Thai, Primal Krav Maga, Chokdee (York) and many more about why REVGEAR Quality counts

FAQ's
When fitting a gym, there's a lot to consider. Below we have tried to answer as many of the questions we are often asked by organisations building or refitting a gym.
TYPE OF BOXING RING
A floor ring is generally made with a frame of squared steel. There are options on how this attaches or doesn't attach to the floor, freestanding is also possible.
REVGEAR only uses quality steel and a very high standard of welding.
This is essential for a professional gym as poorly welded rings or cheap thin steel is almost a guarantee of future problems with your ring.
We can provide 20mm matting, plain or printed canvasses and either REVGEAR corner posts or customized posts depending on your requirements.
A raised platform is made of a metal carcass. The ring’s frame is covered with wooden boards, on top of which is a matted underlay. Canvas is then tied on top of the foam padding to create a floor that’s quite springy, strong but also soft.
General Boxing Ring Information
Boxing Rings are usually between 16 ft and 24 ft. Competition rings average 22 feet.
Some gyms use very small training rings which can be as small as 8 - 12 feet across albeit this is rare. So the short answer to the question is ‘any size the customer wants’ as all boxing rings are made to order.
There are stipulations in both amateur and professional boxing.
The International Boxing Association (IBA), which sanctions Olympic-style boxing matches worldwide at the amateur level, stipulates a 20ft x 20ft ring to be used for all contests. This is also the size of boxing rings that are used at the Olympic games.
Professional boxing rings depend on the promotion but are usually larger, but generally professional contest rings are generally no smaller than 18ft x 18ft, and no larger than 24ft x 24ft.
There are three styles of boxing ring. Floor rings, platform rings and competition boxing rings.
Floor Boxing Rings - Are as the name suggests without a platform, sitting within an outer frame. The area within the ring can be 20mm matting or a standard canvas or both!
Elevated AKA low Platform Boxing Rings - Whilst still seen as a training ring, a low platform ring raises the ring up by approximately 12 - 18 inches. This creates a true sprung floor far more similar to that of a competition ring.
Competition Boxing Rings - A competition ring is built on a steel platform that raises the ring up by 3 feet. REVGEAR sells all three styles of boxing ring and can customize them to suit the needs of the facilities requirements.

How soon can I receive delivery of a Boxing Ring or Cage?
Lead times vary depending on production schedule and the specifics of the ring or cage that you need. Average waiting time is 6-8 weeks. It is always best to order a ring a long way in advance of opening your facility.
European and UK delivery times will be different, again depending on distances and production schedule.
How do I Set Up a Boxing Ring?
Construction of a boxing ring is relatively simple and with the help of an instruction video or the printed sheet we can provide. Usually two guys will be able to construct a ring, even with little or no experience in a couple of hours. Experienced ring assemblers will put up a full size competition ring in under an hour.
For large projects or standing competition rings we can arrange assistance charged at day rates for labour. We have often enlisted the help of nearby Ring Hire companie's to construct rings in an area when assistance has been needed.
